i had one of these watches before and went thru three bands as normal and then lost it and was happy to find it online at amazon.com so i bought it. works great for me.


This is a very nice watch for the money.

Pros
The high contrast face is easy to read at a glance.
The watch has a nice solid feel.
Rotating bezel.
Alarm, date, stopwatch.
Simple, classic look with modern features.

Cons:
No light.
The bezel moves a little too easily, it should be a little stiffer.

I was looking at moderately priced dive watches from Invicta, Citizen and Seiko. The problem with these sort of watches, which really irritates me, is the lack of a real date function. I don't consider a counter which goes to 31 acceptable. Paying more than a hundred dollars for a watch that needs resetting every month or so is ridiculous. Many watch manufacturers have been lazy for decades, putting out the same ancient design with some cosmetic changes. This Casio is a great mixture of the classic with the modern. To get a watch from the "better" companies with these features costs at least four times as much. And will they last four times as long? Unlikely.


This watch is tried and true. It is beautiful, functional, and sturdy. The back-issue is inconvenient but not a deal breaker. I've been wanting this watch for years but have waited to the cost was better. Wal-Mart is $68 plus tax, this is a good price as the watch was $78 just a few months ago. I recommend this watch.


This watch exceeds my expectations, the idle size, weight, design & features. I feel great with this on my wrist .


This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He never takes it off, it is a very beautiful watch.


I have had the Gold Faced version for over 2 years and bought at the same time the white one for my son. I find the Gold face makes it elegant enough for the work place and functional enough for my active outdoor life. After 2 years the glass is still scratch free. After about a year I popped the band that holds down the strap (the side that doesn't have the buckle). But I don't think this was a manufacturing defect. I replaced the complete watchband for $20 which would be considered high seeing that I paid $55 for the watch. My watch is worn 24/7 and keeps time excellent. I haven't had to change the battery yet - 2 years later. This is the best value Dive watch out there. When this one dies, I'll get another.


I just got this watch and as others have stated it would be nearly perfect if it had an indiglo, but for my needs the hands glow well enough to get by in the dark. One note...I actually bought mine at [...]. They started selling them just a few days ago. Mine actually has the dark blue face which I've not found anywhere else.


A nice robust watch to wear every day.
This watch is rated 100m water resistant. Although the manual does not recommend scuba diving unless the watch is rated 200 or 300m, I have been scuba diving with this watch multiple times with no problems.
The luminescence is strong and very readable at night.


This is my third Casio Divers Watch over the past 20+ years and what I use a watch for, it's simply the best....


I'm on my second one of these (the first was still working fine - but the face was quite scratched after 8 years). Great watch - but the band will crack after 8-9 months - and no discount stores carry the right bands - I have to go to a watch repair store and pay $15 for a new band each time.

Casio Men's G-Shock Classic Ana-Digi Watch #G100-1BV

I was looking for a watch to wear casually on the weekends ... this fit the bill. Looks great, is super light and seems to be made of a solid quality. Only thing that was a little bit annoying was setting the time and date, a little annoying, and means you have to keep the little book in a safe place if you plan on changing it while travelling / day light savings etc ... Also, I searched other websites and noticed this watch was being sold at a much higher price on most other sites, a no brainer with Amazon's free shipping and customer service !


Extremely accurate watch, lost a couple seconds against my satellite updated GPS over the course of 3 months in iraq. Watch held up good despite drops, extreme temperatures and vibrations from riding in vehicles. However it is a pain to set the hands.

I just received this watch today (10th Dec 2008). It is a great watch. It does have slight disadvantage of the hands blocking the display at the bottom but that is just a minor issue in my opinion. The watch itself is beautiful to look at. Rugged all the way. All man. I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone looking for a nice gents watch at an affordable price


Solid Casio product. The only minor flaw I have encountered with the watch is the minute and hour hands will block the bottom digital readout.


It's a excellent watch. It's a nice combination between analog and digital. The only thing I no like is the backlight only lights the digital pane and when you changing the hour or alarm it doesn't lights, it's a problem when you want to set an alarm on the darkness. In general it's a best and durable watch.


I ordered this watch because I needed a durable watch that also looked decent. I personally dont like the way digital watches look, but hate the way analog watches lack features. This watch combines both styles very nicely. The watch fits great, which is a plus, becuase many watches I have tried on have been huge. This is by no means a small watch, but looks very nice when being worn. There are a few things I would change however. I would like the dual time zone to be able to be in military time. This is not possible, since it has to be the same as your regular time settings. Also, the light only lights the digital display, which is a pain if it is set to a different function. However, these are two minor things. I am very picky but really love this watch. It looks great and fits great and I have gotten many compliments on it already. Hopefully this review helps.


Awesome watch, great for tough and rough jobs, I recommend this item to very active people that don't want to be concern about damaging their watch.


Bought this as a "work watch" after doing more damage than I wanted to a much more expensive Titanium watch. I've had G-shocks before and always liked them for what they are, no nonsense and bullet proof. This one lives up to that. Highly recommended.

I like the item, the wrist band was a little large for my wrist but the actual watch was worth the cost.


You don't find this product in any store and if you find it, it so expensive. Here I was able to buy it the way I wanted it and for so reasonable price.

From the moment I opened the box, I just loved the look and feel of this watch. The only problem I have with it (along with alot of other reviewers) is the fact that the watch face is not crystal, it is plastic. This thing will scratch if you look at it the wrong way. I soon will not be able to see the hands on mine. I can't stress this enough, I scratched the face when I was putting my jacket on, and there were no buttons or snaps on my jacket. Anyway, other than the easy scratching, I love the watch. Get what you pay for I guess.



Overall a great watch; only downside is that face of the watch scratches eaily; I am stuck with this until I decide to replace it; otherwise, appears to be great watch


I gave this to my boyfriend for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. It ties together any outfit, casual or more formal. Also, one of his favorite features is the light that turns on automatically as you lift your wrist to see the time.



band may be metal but it's so light and cheap it could break just as easy as plastic. Overall construction feels cheap and lame. Very disappointed.


I ordered this watch on the 1st of October and it arrived on the 3rd. The watch works as the description says. I still haven't figured out how to adjust the metal band but I've only had it for two hours!

As for the watch itself, it has many features and the setup is user friendly. I'm impressed with the design and I enjoy the four alarm feature. I would buy another one of these if this one ever breaks.


This is a nice watch, a lot of adds, very distinguish whit low price, lightweight, special for everyday use, but the pic of the watch don't show a very realistic image of the watch, it have a grey plastic incrustations, and when you make a close view looks a little more cheap than desireble. However it's a great watch.


Haven't had any problem with it. Good watch. Looks good and works good. The only thing I don't know if I like is that if you press the mode button once it switches to world time. It happened to me once and I thought that it was the correct time an hour earlier than it really was. That wasn't too good for getting to work on time. :-P

I'm very satisfied with this purchase and the price was the lowest on the internet.


I bought this for my BF as a xmas gift. He needed a watch he could play basketball in, work out as well as everyday wear. This fit the bill and wasnt so expensive for a men's watch. He loves it!


After trying 3 different Casio's, this is the best I have tried. backlight works well. Light weight. The hands do sometimes cover the digital display. First time I have bought a watch that had the time already set for me.


This watch is comfortable, full featured, attractive and well built. I find the analog and digital displays to be very readable and the backlighting is excellent and cool looking. It is a little thick for office wear but its conservative styling means that you can wear it in many venues and it has a low geek factor. Overall it is an excellent value and I have no reservation about recommending it to anyone looking for this style of watch and these features. I deducted a star for the following minor issues
- can't see day and date at the same time
-the function buttons require an inordinately deep push
-the hands occasionally obscure the LCD display
-the strap doesn't articulate so you have to lay the watch on its side


This is a really cool looking watch with full of features. Great price for what you get. I especially like the 200m water resistance, good for diving. I also like having both analog and digital display on one watch. When you got the stop watch going on the digital display, you can still see the time on the analog hands.

The only minor glitch I noticed was that sometimes, the analog hands get in the way of the digital display, like when you have the stopwatch going and it's say, 11:05. The analog hands partially cover up the digital display, so you have to tilt the watch around to see. I guess that's the disadvantage of having analog and digital.

I still like the watch a lot.


Great watch! Great look - just happened to see it on someone else the other day on the subway, and it looked great. :) I've had it for several months now and I've had no problems. The functions are great and I love how there are both analog and digital times. Was worried that the darkness would affect my reading of the time, but that's almost never a problem. I've also never had to readjust the time yet - great accuracy. Highly recommended!


Very cool looking sports watch. Takes abuse well while still having lots of great features. Easy to program and use. Excellent price!


Used so many casio's over my life time and this one a very well built model. I already fell on it once, slammed it on a wall a few times(all unintentional) and not even a scratch or any signs of wear and tear as of yet. The digital part of the watch is nice in the dark when you can't see the analog hands you just hit the light and viola. I would recommend this watch to anyone who is into construction or heavy duty work or just plain old daily usage where you want a watch that would last you a very long time.

Only con this watch has is the strap, Its fixed in the shape of your wrist unlike other watches where you can lay it flat on a table, this one is curved, if you don't mind that, its the watch for you.

Best of all its got style.


I got this watch last week and once out of the box it put me off:( It appeared dark and not properly viewable....BUT then my view point changed, as i started using the watch it grew on to me and now i LOVE it. The "darkness" that i saw was really due to the time of the day, i was opening the box at dusk without lights..

Its a great everyday watch. The reason i gave it 4 stars because its a little big for my wrist, which is tiny. But overall i am happy with the purchase.

Go but it, you will NOT regret.


Looks great, works great. I needed an everyday watch, this one was perfect for me! I don't think you can get any other similar products with this low price. other users complained about black background on digital display wasn't clear enought but I didn't experience that at all. This is PERFECT watch for guys.
