Great while it lasted. I had to replace the watch strap after 1 year. This thing died on me after 3.5 years.
Great if you want an inexpensive function over form timepiece that doesn't draw attention.
I've had this watch for a few weeks now and it has completely met my expectations. I was looking for an inexpensive timepiece with an emphasis on functionality rather than sex appeal but I didn't want it to be ugly and cheap looking.The W93H fit this bill, in that it has the functions of a sport watch (stop watch,countdown,alarm,and dual time)but isn't as imposing as a G-Shock. Instead it has a low profile,(perfect for small wrists) and is somewhat conservative and sporty for those that don't need it to make much of a statement. The picture is quite accurate except that the wist band, which looks more like material in the photo is indeed resin. The back light is good and the auto light function is very nice when traveling at night.
I didn't give it 5 stars because I haven't had it long enough to call it perfect.
My Timex sport watch served me well for years but was not the most attractive timepiece by a long stretch. At the end of a particularly thorough online search for the blandest, cheapest digital watch I could find, this one came in first place. There isn't a whole lot to say about it and that is the point; it "goes" well with about any combination of clothing, and it has all of the stopwatch and timer functions one expects of a basic digital watch. The resin band fits my spindly wrists adequately, and the backlight deserves particular praise, as it actually causes the numbers to turn a turquoise color, which is neat.
I bought this recently to replace one I've had for 15 years or so that finally quit. While the battery is said to last 2-3 years, mine have lasted 5 years or so. I love this watch. I've swum with it, dropped it, no problem.
It has a count-down timer, stopwatch and dual-time functions; button placement makes it easy to manipulate. So light I hardly am aware of it. I've had to replace the band a few times. THEY last maybe 2 years. 18mm generic neoprene bands are available at Kohl's for about $5. A great watch at a great price!
I love this watch and use it for swimming and general use. However, like others, a tab which hold the wrist band to the case also broke--rendering the watch useless. I didn't drop the watch, the tab just fractured. The watch is only 8 months old. Casio must have some problems with their plastic technology as others have expressed the same problem.
This is a superb refinement of an old standard (the 50m water-resist alarm chronograph) that I have been buying for decades. The face light is much improved and the crystal is slightly convex rather than flat as in the older model providing some slight magnification. There is another model that is very similar but lacks the countdown timer which I find invaluable. This watch appeals to me because it contains all the timing functions useful in everyday life but doesn't look like a descendant of sputnik on your wrist.
I would not recommend buying this watch. The plastic casing is very brittle. Within one month all four arms that the pins for the band go into broke off. I was able to glue the first two back on, but the second two broke I was riding a bike and there no way I could have found those little pieces of plastic. I have bought inexpensive Casio watches in the past and have been very pleased with them, but it appears that the quality of this watch has been reduced to an unacceptable level.
Has all the basic functions I will ever need - stopwatch, alarm, and illuminator. Extras include dual time, etc...
But this is a great watch. Solid - I've smashed it several times already and it's still holding. I'm sure this will last for years. Another Casio classic that hasn't disappointed.
This is a great watch (especially for the price) with the exception that the crystal is NOT SUFFICIENTLY RECESSED to be properly protected. I have not significantly scratched up a watch in the past thirty years - but I scuffed this one TWICE in the first week of use. I recommend spending the extra money to get a G-Shock model. (also by Casio) That is what I will resume wearing when I get tired of looking at the damage on this one.
This is a great watch with the dependability of Casio and a countdown timer to boot. (Countdown function is scarce these days on watches). The alarm or signal on this watch is the loudest I've had. What a great watch! The only down side is the crystal seems to scratch too easily.
