It features a 20-page databank that allows you to store phone numbers and other valuable contact information (8 characters for name and 12 characters for telephone number). This shock-resistant watch also offers a 1/100-second stopwatch (up to 24 hours), daily alarm, 12/14-hour formats, world time from 40 cities, and an hourly time signal. You can automatically count down the days from the current date to a target date with the five day counters (each featuring 8 input characters for identification). It will also stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving, with water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet). Other features include a durable black resin watch case and strap, scratch-resistant mineral crystal, and AfterGlow LED electro-luminescent backlight.
My daughter, a young Naval officer, requested this watch for Christmas. She was ecstatic when she received it. She described this as the best of this type of watch. She will be using this in her duties for the Navy, but also when she is performing personal exercise training for herself and to keep in shape for the physical testing required by the Navy. I briefly attempted to set the time on it so it would be functioning when she opened the gift, but, being technically challenged, I left that to her. When I mentioned that to her she said she did have to read the instruction book to understand how to use all the functions. After reading the instruction booklet she felt confident that she was able to use all the functions on the watch. Wish I could feel that confident after reading instructions on operating this computer!
Arrived within one week of ordering. This watch is very functional,fun and easy to use. The backlight is blue, and easy to see at night. Every 30 seconds and when you push the light button, an animated dolphin swims (in the oval where TYO is). The only thing I don't like about the watch is the band. It's shiny black plastic. Other than that, it's a great watch.
We get issued a lot of things in the military, but this by far is one of the coolest and best watches I've ever been issued. I've had this since 2005 and it's literally been to hell and back. I've deployed 3 times with this watch and it's still going strong. I'm an enlisted aircrew member so flying around in the back of a C-130, I get banged around a lot. This watch has stuck through it all: it has over 700 flying hours with me (combat included), survived the heat and sand of southwest Asia, many sweaty PT sessions, showers and pools. I have yet to change the battery (3 yrs).
Since I'm constantly on the "road" flying all over the world, the multiple time zones are key. There is only one downside to this, they're not all correct. You have to play with the DST settings (even when that time zone doesn't use DST).
Overall, this is a fantastic watch and I rarely take it off. I would feel naked without it.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this watch. I wasn't sure I would like it until I actually received it and when I wore it I got lots of compliments. The band is not the usual matte finish but has more of a patent shine which makes it stylish. I would buy it again.
Usually I am very rough on watches and wear mine face down. This thing has survived me (and tennis) for over a year and is still in top condition. Would recommend to everyone.
I am a proud owner of two G Shock watches already. I love the watches I have, so I bought my wife one. She loves the all black Baby G Shock watch I bought her. Her watch does not have the atomic time keeping or the solar power like the g shocks I have. She is not into all the different gadgets like me. She just wanted somethig simple and durable. This is the perfect watch for everyday activities.
I use this watch everywhere. Especially with the kids, cause you never know when you're going to need the protection from the elements or just from doing everyday stuff with them.
I've had this watch before. After 5 years, in the ocean nearly everyday, it finally gave out. I thought I wouldn't find it again. This color and style. I love it because it's comfortable to wear when surfing and/or paddling. I am a hairstylist and it looks great even at work when I am shampooing client, etc. My eyes aren't as sharp as when I was younger, so the digital numbers make it super easy to see. A very good practical and fashionable watch. RECOMMENDED HIGHLY!!
