What I was looking for was a watch with specific features and this watch delivered all of them for a reasonable price.
Mannn, I had one of these in High School. Now I'm 39 and an exec. Many compliments on this great looking G shock. I chose it for it's professional look -- plus, c'mon, it's a G Shock. Comfortable. I have to read up on all the features, but the ones I've used so far (timer, stopwatch, alarm, multi-time zone) are quite intuitive. And hats off to Amazon for offering the least expensive price. They blew out the competition. If you buy one, YOU WILL NOT REGRET. It's a watch you can wear from the bedroom to the boardroom!!!
I have had such poor customer service from Casio after paying to have my G Shock repaired that it is now my mission to poorly rate EVERY G Shock until I get a response that ISN'T computer generated. LISTENING CASIO? I refuse to pay another $45 less than 1 month after paying you $45 to repair my watch.
casio makes a good product. Strong, durable.
I like the atomic battery, as the reason i ordered the watch is because i had a G Shock ordered from amazon last April and the battery went dead, after 10 months.
When I took it to the jeweler, he put a new battery in it but screwed the waterproof gasket up.
so I wanted a watch that i wouldnt have to take to stupid people for 10 years
I have previously owned a Casio solar G-shock (and it is still running today six years later) and was looking for a digital watch again but I wanted a little bling factor. This watch has the bling and the chunky look that I wanted and so much more! You literally never have to touch it, meaning no battery costs or hassles and no setting the thing. I live on the east coast of Central Florida and receive the atomic signal from Colorado every morning at 5am. I have an analog Festina watch that I love but this new watch has replaced it. As usual Amazon was excellent and the free shipping got it to me in 3 days! Definitely buy this watch!
Excelent.. for those ones that travel arouund the world and do not want to be worry about the right time, bateries.. night ligth.. ect
The watch is just as described. The only negative is the plastic joints between the band and the watch; they are noticeably different in colour. I imagine this is an impact cushioning system as part of the g-shock.
I would buy the watch again.
I ordered the watch for my boyfriend's birthday. I received it the following day. That's efficient service. It looks nice and manly as he is a big guy. I hope he loves it. He did hint that he wanted it.
I've owned this watch for a year now. It is always correct to the second. I usually don't take it off at night like they recommend, but it always updates correctly anyway. The databank is not(quite) as useless as some pretend. I have used it when starting out on a trip to remember when I left. It's not terribly useful though. The date and time are always visible-no pressing buttons to see what the date is. It's very rugged and the bezel is recessed so if you bump the watch, it's usually not on the glass. It doesn't have a countdown timer, but for me that wasn't important. The best watch I've owned.
I really like the watch. I had one for a couple of years, my son needed a watch and I gave it to him. I bought the same one again.
I live in Manhattan and the watch has no problem receiving the time signal at night. I wear it while sleeping and that seems to work better.
The only problems I have experienced have been what seems to be some discoloration of the large piece of (unattractive) plastic used to join the watch body to the metal band.
Battery charge has not been a problem - even during the winter time.
Also the body of the watch is thick relative to other watches. That might be a problem for some people.
